What is out-of-hospital intensive care (außerklinische Intensivpflege)?
Medical and nursing care for seriously ill people outside the hospital – often around the clock by qualified nurses. This includes, for example, ventilation monitoring, tracheal cannula management and medication administration.
Who is intensive care suitable for?
For everyone who needs permanent medical care after a hospital stay, e.g. when ventilation is required, after a stroke, with neurological conditions or in a vigil coma. A basic requirement is an intensive care status determined by the health insurance fund (Krankenkasse).
How quickly can care begin?
Usually within a few days. In urgent cases we respond even faster. Just talk to us – we will find a solution.
Who covers the costs?
The costs are usually covered by the health insurance fund (Krankenkasse). We support you with all applications and handle communication with your insurance fund.
How does the transition from the hospital work?
We take care of everything: aids, medical technology, care bed, transport. You do not have to worry about anything – we coordinate the entire process.
